Shop Preparation Cont… <back>

After much research on different wall materials, I decided to go with a exterior steel material. I compared pricing to bead board, regular paneling, wall board, sheetrock and this metal. The two cheapest prices I received from multiple vendors was sheet rock or this metal. With sheetrock, I would have to mud, paper, sand, mud, sand mud and sand again. Then prime and then paint. This being a future metal working shop and plane factory I opted with the easiest to put up, the sheet metal. First, the price per linear foot was 1.25 per sheet more expensive on the metal than for sheetrock, but I won’t have to paint. The sheet metal came with hardened enamel paint, color of my choice. And it is very simple to hang. So follow along as I put it in place… |

Well, this is what I got done the second day. I have meetings to attend today. Have to make a trip to Griffin Georgia and will have to call it a day. I will try to keep a pace going, but have to work the next two days so I may not get much done.

I borrowed a steel hole saw from work today and cut the holes for my air that comes out of the walls. I have two outlets piped in, two on either side of the back wall. Its late in the evening and getting up at 5am will come early enough, so its time to pack up everything and head to the house.
